2012 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti successor test mule spotted
Earlier this month Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa confirmed that the 612 Scaglietti will be replaced by 2012 and here we have first spy photos of the test mule with a longer wheelbase.
The 612 Scaglietti has been on the market since 2004 and is just getting old.
Not much is known about its successor, but different rumors suggest it will get a new V12 engine packing around 540 horsepower, offering better fuel consumption and fewer CO2 emissions than the current engine. This is also part of Ferrari’s internal goal of reducing emissions and fuel consumption within the next few years.
Some of the changes on the test mule we can see are a longer wheelbase, extended front-end, temporary bonnet bulge and different exhaust pipes.
Stay tuned for more as it is just a matter of time when we will see more test mules with new modifications.
