Tuning: 1-Series M Coupe Gets New Exhaust System From Eisenmann [Video]

1M is one of BMW’s hottest cars, and now it is the turn of German exhaust specialist Eisenmann to show its skills.

Eisenmann announced that they will release a sport exhaust system for 1-Series M Coupe at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) that will be held in Frankfurt from 15th to 25th September, 2011.

The new exhaust package from Eisenmann improve the performance of the original 1-M Coupe exhaust by bringing 10 extra hp (7kW). The system contains a middle silencer and a rear muffler with 4 tailpipes having a diameter of 83 mm, all made of high-quality stainless steel.

Although there are almost 2 months until the official presentation, Eisenmann made the exhaust system available now. The price for the whole system will set you back €1,844.59, VAT included (middle silencer – € 535.50, rear muffler – € 1,309).

Eisenmann did not provide information on how the exhaust will impact the acceleration figures.
For the record, the stock car has a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo and direct injection (340 hp), and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds. The car reaches the 200 km/h mark (124 mph) in 17.3 seconds.
