Ferrari 599 China one-off unique version auctioned for 1.2 Million Euros
Last month Ferrari announced the one-off 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE China, which was auctioned yesterday at a special Gala Auction Event hosted by Ferrari in Beijing.
The auction was won by an anonymous bidder from Shanghai whose winning bid was 1.2 million euros (1.78 million USD).
Created by Chinese artist Lu Hao, this special model is decorated with Song Dynasty Ge Kiln pottery patterns.
The proceeds from this auction will fund outstanding students and young teachers of Tsinghua University’s Department of Automotive Engineering to study at Italy’s Politecnico di Milano University and internship at Ferrari’s headquarters.
The car was presented to the media by Michael Schumacher. The gala dinner was also attended by Ferrari Asia Pacific CEO Mr. Marco Mattiacci, contemporary artist Lu Hao, professors of China’s leading Tsinghua University Cen Zhangzhi and delegate of Politecnico di Milano University Bruno Pizzigoni.
