Subaru Coupe prototype hits the Nürburging
We have already seen first official photos of the Toyota FT-86 Concept that is developed in partnership with Subaru. Toyota will preview their version of this 2+2 sports car already next week at the Tokyo Motor Show.
Same platform will be used also for the upcoming Subaru Coupe.
This jointly developed prototype has been spotted for the first time now on the famous Nürburgring.
Earlier reports suggest that Subaru has not green-lighted their version of the car, but looking at these spy photos we tend to believe the prototype spotted could be Subaru’s version of the 2+2 sports coupe.
Power would come from a 2.0-liter Boxer engine that produces close to 200 horsepower. Just like Toyota’s version it will very likely feature a rear-wheel drive not all-wheel-drive like their other models, although there is a rumor that Subaru will also offer an all-wheel-drive version with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Boxer engine producing around 300 horsepower.
