Tokyo preview: Mid-engined Suzusho Supasse V

This year’s Tokyo Motor Show is all about domestic automakers. One of the small domestic manufacturers preparing for the show is a kit-car manufacturer Suzusho.
Suzusho is mainly known for their replicas of the legendary Lotus Seven.
Now they are turning the new page by introducing an all-new model of their own – a mid-engined lightweight sports car called Supasse V.
The car looks like it has little bit of styling from Lotus Exige, Ferrari Enzo and the Pagani Zonda. Power comes from a modified 2.3-liter DOHC Turbo found in the Mazda3 MPS that produces 272 horsepower. The car weighs just 850 kg, and has an impressive power to weight ratio of 3.1 kg / hp.
Official debut is next week at the Tokyo Motor Show and it should go on sale in the mid-2010.
