Travec Tecdrah- Duster inside

That SUVs do not have to be gas guzzlers, wants to prove to the small volume manufacturers Travec. By early 2012 starting debut Tecdrah is the Hessian auto supplier at least an impressive mark. The distance to the Citroën Mehari reminiscent offroader weighs only 1363 kg and will make do with 5.3 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers.

For the low weight of the 4.19 meter long SUV provide mainly an aluminum chassis and a fiberglass body. Made from recycled waste plastic outer skin is tensioned over a stabilizing aluminum frame and covered driver and front passenger seat. Rear seat and cargo area are covered by a tarp.

To drive a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 90 hp and maximum torque of 200 Newton meters. Always on board is all-wheel drive. With sufficient traction, however, only the front wheels are driven, the rear axle during turns to slip. In addition, rough terrain, an electronic locking differential ensures the permanent activation of the wheel technology.

The price for the built to order only Tecdrah is not fixed yet. Since Travec relies primarily on the drive many high-volume parts from inexpensive Dacia Duster, the diesel version is at a price probably just below € 20,000. Dacia Duster, the way you get even with very similar specs for 16 290 €.
