e-1 is a single seater all-electric sports car that is street legal in Germany. Built on a aluminum/carbon chassis it weighs just 450 kg(922 lbs).
Power comes from a single electric motor on the rear that develops 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.
0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) comes in less than 5 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Range is 300 km (186 miles) and according to the company batteries will last at least 10 years. Unlike the e-2 which is still in development and will be shown as a prototype in 2011 it will be available already beginning of 2010.
