2010 Porsche 911 Turbo CoupeNew 2010 Porsche 911(997) Turbo power unit is displacing 3.8-liters and delivers 500 horsepower(20 more than its 3.6-liter predecessor) and 480 ft-lb of torque.

In addition to more power it is also 25 kg (55 lbs) lighter.

It also comes for the first time with the new seven-speed PDK Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (Double-Clutch Gearbox).

2010 Porsche 911 Turbo has posted a new lap time of 7 minutes and 39 seconds on the legendary Nürburging. That’s 10 seconds faster than the last 911 Turbo.

Impressive, but still 11 seconds slower than the Nissan GT-R(7:28). Porsche fans should not worry as Porsche is reportedly working also on the Turbo S model and new GT2. Plus we still haven’t seen the new GT3 RS lap the Ring.
