Spotlight: BMW Sequence GT concept

by Sebastian Bivin

The cool BMW Sequence GT concept is the product of imagination and skills of Seungmo Lim from the German Pforzeim University. Lim explained that the car answers two questions: how should the green car look like to deserve a BMW badge, and how will it utilize efficient dynamics.

The designer basically combined the features of an automotive blue architecture and the need for comfortable driving. The BMW concept will utilize engines that are mounted on the wheels of the vehicle to conserve space and make use of kidney placement for cooling concerns.

The configuration of the engine also gives way to an interesting look of the Sequence. The lines are quite dramatic in appearance as the front to shoulder gets some twist.
The designer is also hoping that someday the car will be able to drop by a Better Place recharging station which employs an underground recharger capable of powering up the car in about a minute or so.

Looking at the Sequence GT concept, I can only think of one word. Hollywood.
